Yes, she's scared! -Your sponsorship would mean the world to Lisa and everyone who uses the centre, so please take a look at the JustGiving page and consider donating. It doesn't have to be a lot, every little helps!

If you can't afford to give right now, that's ok! We would really appreciate it if you could share this link on your social networks.

Please find attached our programme of summer activity for supporting women’s health and wellbeing.

I would greatly appreciate if you could share it with anyone you feel would benefit from our services or display it an any relevant public areas – we have trained listeners, drop ins as well as awareness and taster sessions available for free to all women.

Our regular learning programme will resume in September and volunteering opportunities are always open to new recruits (women only due to the nature of our services).

Holiday Activities with Food - Summer 2019

Did you know that nearly 22% of children in our county are living in poverty? In some areas that figure rises to over 50% The pressure on families during the school holidays can become even greater, particularly for families who may normally benefit from free school meals.

Community organisations and individuals across the county have a huge impact every year on the wellbeing of these children, by providing activities with food during the school holidays.

We have worked with a range of partners to pull together a list of activities (some of which include a snack or food), which are run in various locations across the whole county. This is available on our Families Information Service website here: You can enter your post code to filter the search to activities in your area.

Alternatively, if you would like to get information by email of what is on in your area during the holidays, our VCS Alliance staff will be only too happy to send you some information. Please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with details of which area you would like information about.
