Holiday Activities with Food - Summer 2019
Did you know that nearly 22% of children in our county are living in poverty? In some areas that figure rises to over 50% The pressure on families during the school holidays can become even greater, particularly for families who may normally benefit from free school meals.
Community organisations and individuals across the county have a huge impact every year on the wellbeing of these children, by providing activities with food during the school holidays.
We have worked with a range of partners to pull together a list of activities (some of which include a snack or food), which are run in various locations across the whole county. This is available on our Families Information Service website here: http://www.countydurhamfamilies.info/kb5/durham/fsd/results.action?familychannel=2-19 You can enter your post code to filter the search to activities in your area.
