Hours:                       37.5 hours per week.  (Given the nature of the role it is expected that the post-holder will work flexibly. This may include working extended hours, evenings and weekends).

YOUTH PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR (young people affected by imprisonment)

OLD ELVET, DURHAM CITY 37.5 hours per week Salary £24,336 per annum (Funded for 3 years by BBC Children in Need) with the possibility of extension)

NEPACS is a charity which supports a positive future for prisoners and their families in the north east. We are seeking someone with a passion for making a positive difference to the lives of young people who is able to lead a regional team as well as demonstrate excellent administrative and project management skills. The post holder will line manage sessional workers as well as a wider team of volunteers. They will support the delivery of special visits at regional prisons and co-ordinate a programme of community-based activities.

Reaching Out Across Durham (ROAD) is an exciting employment programme in County Durham jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund until July 2019. Working in partnership with 12 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, ROAD will support 625 long term unemployed people into or towards employment.
Citizens Advice County Durham is a partner of ROAD delivering Financial & Digital Inclusion support to participants of the program.
About the role:
The aim of the role is to support the ROAD team at Citizens Advice County Durham with day to day administration, answering and making calls, updating diaries and data input while ensuring project documentation is eligible and compliant to funder requirements.

16 hours per week Starting at National Minimum Wage increasing to £8.75 per hour following satisfactory completion of a six months probationary period. The postholder will be part of a rota system working flexible hours over a 7-day week. The shift times may vary from 3 -8 hour shifts between 8am – 10pm. There will be occasions when you will be required to work more than the contracted 16 hours to cover for other members of the team who may be on annual leave, training or sickness, for which time owing will be given.

We are seeking an individual who is hard working, conscientious about the standards of their work and maintaining a clean facility. Enthusiastic, highly motivated with a can do attitude. The postholder will demonstrates common sense, an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. P/T Operations Assistant Required

Durham Deafened Support is seeking a person with a creative approach, excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised. This post is to support the Manager/Coordinator of DDS in the delivery of services supporting Deaf, deafened, hearing-impaired and deaf/blind people. The successful applicant will work as a member of a small team. This post is part-time, 21 hours per week, fixed term until 31/10/19 in first instance subject to annual review.

The rate of pay is £9.27 per hour. The post is subject to a 3 month Probationary Period. The person appointed will be based at the DDS office in Horden, but the role will involve travel throughout the County Durham and Darlington area. Access to own transport is therefore essential.

Wheels to Work Durham

Wheels to Work is now available to even more residents across County Durham than ever before!

Thanks to funding from 7 different Area Action Partnerships across the County, we can now offer our moped-hire service to residents of; Chester-Le-Street Stanley Mid Durham Bishop Auckland and Shildon East Durham Rural Corridor (Fishburn, Trimdon, Sedgefield area) 3 Towns Partnership (Crook, Willington and Tow Law) and Spennymoor Wheels to Work is a transport initiative that helps people get to work, training or education where transport is a barrier. We have helped more than 60 people since the pilot scheme began in October 2016 and now, thanks to AAP funding, have an even bigger fleet of bikes.

Please help us to spread the word by sharing with as many people as possible and bear us in mind when dealing with anyone who needs help with transport to get to a job.
