We are also available to offer bespoke training sessions for your team, just get in touch if you have any questions, we are happy to be needs-led.
I am also placing names on the waiting list for the 2 Day Mental Health First Aid Course for 2020. Dates and Venues to be confirmed later in the year.

Wellbeing for Life at Work – ‘My Achievement’ Billy (William) Collins
Businesses across County Durham are investing time and money in workplace health. Staff from HM Revenue and Customs, in Peterlee, have been accessing healthy lifestyle sessions at work, delivered by the Wellbeing for Life service.
Health Trainers worked with employees giving advice on weight loss, healthy eating and fitness. Billy Collins is one of the members that has benefitted from the ‘Eat Wise to Drop a Size’ sessions. “My weight used to embarrass me, my BMI was in the ‘obese’ bracket, and I was always short of breath even climbing the stairs in the house. I struggled to have the energy to play with my grandchildren and I had a wardrobe full of clothes that I thought I would never be able to wear again.
Last year I lost my parents, within 3 weeks of each other. I was feeling really low and started comfort eating - Pizzas, Kebabs, Chinese etc. We were informed at work about the Eat Wise sessions that we could attend free of charge. When some of my colleagues started going and losing weight they would encourage me but I was reluctant. One week I decided I had nothing to lose, only the weight, and I have never looked back. I have lost 10lbs and have no plans to stop there. Jordon and Emma from Wellbeing for Life are brilliant, they give excellent advice and praise even when I have put weight back on they will advise me what I need to do to get back on track. When I joined I was entered into a draw to win a £100 gift card to use at Karting North East.
Normally I don’t win anything but my name was drawn out and I won it! I intend to continue with the weight loss and build my fitness up as its making me feel much better.” Wellbeing for Life is a free service operating in County Durham, staff work with individuals on a 1-1 basis and in groups, to help people recognise the issues that are affecting their wellbeing and to make positive changes.
