The Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre [Darlington and Co Durham] CIO (RSACC) has an exciting opportunity for a full time Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), to work with the CEO to oversee services and the running of the Centre. The role will report to the CEO and join a motivated team of staff and volunteers in a busy charity, striving to deliver quality services in both Darlington and Durham. The successful candidate will work with the CEO to manage and oversee activities within the organisation and be subject to performance management through appraisal. A degree or equivalent professional experience is essential.

DISC’s Independent Living Unit - offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and sustain independent living. The focus or our work is to help people progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle. We work with a wide variety of clients including substance misusers, offenders, teenage parents, people with physical or learning disabilities, people with mental health issues, people experiencing domestic violence, etc. Our work involves visiting clients who live in a variety of different accommodation types, e.g. private- rented, supported housing, sheltered housing, owner-occupied, etc.
The following opportunity has arisen to join our 'Intensive Mental Health Floating Support Service' in Darlington:
Your motivation to enable others to improve their quality of life is vital to this role. You will provide housing related support to individuals with complex mental health problems who are living in the community, to enable them to access and sustain safe and secure accommodation and live independently. You will also act in a signposting capacity enabling individuals to access a wide range of additional services to meet their needs. Facilitating meaningful activity sessions will also be an important part of this role.

Context of role – The role involves the processing of a high volume of incoming and outgoing post, liaising directly with clients and Local Citizens Advice on the telephone, inputting and maintaining client data onto our CRM system and other administrative duties in line with office systems.
