For a 12 week(one day per week) training opportunity designed especially for young people aged 16-14 who are not in education, employment or training, but need support in taking the next step towards getting work(interview skills ,CV writing, volunteering opportunities for example). Informal and flexible in our approach, we are motivated by a desire to help you move forward in the direction which best suits your needs. The course is a great way to make new friends, explore a range of options and take control of your future.

Durham Works Update April **New**

Core Assets DurhamWorks Service Promotion **New**
Core Assets have recently been commissioned as a sub-contractor within DurhamWorks to support young people aged between 16 and 24 who have SEND and or SEMH across County Durham. As an Independent Support provider since September 2014 we have worked with children, young people and their families through the Education Health and Care Process, supporting with new assessment requests and statement of SEN transfers.
Using the principles of a MY STORY / ONE PAGE PROFILE we have developed a personalised approach to supporting Young People on a one-to-one and group basis.
Our staff will act as a Key Worker to support each learner into EET progression and further opportunities to develop their skills and experiences. We will be working with learners up to 5 hours per week on a variety of units using the principles of ASDAN’s Life Skills Challenge which include Independent Living, Out in the Community and PSHE. On completion of each learners Individual Learning Plan further individualised support with be identified
